These farm buildings, no longer in use, were altered, extended and converted to form a stunning 3 bedroom family home. Jim Richardson Architects presented a fantastic design and navigated this tricky scheme through the planning process. We then took over and detailed the place to death.
We changed the specification to our favourite plant fibre system. With an air source heat pump and mechanical ventilation heat recovery system in place, this house almost meets passive house standards.
From polished lime plaster, to zero formaldehyde flooring, to bespoke birch ply door linings, the details in this house emit not just good looks but give the feeling of calm. The house feels still yet alive. It is nothing but a joy to pop in for a cup of tea every now and then, and absorb the views across the fields through the biggest window we have ever installed!Â
