Built in the 1920’s, this beautiful stately home sits in the countryside surrounded by its own fields and ancient woodland. The house suffered the common affliction of a bad 1990’s revamp, leaving the original qualities of the house lost behind the cheap dusting of recessed spotlights and tatty MDF!
We are pleased to state we have returned the house to the standard it deserves. Planning permission and core design by Nicolas Pople Architects.
We achieved this by creating a kitchen extension to return the kitchen quarters to the Eastern part of the house. We then returned the Western part of the house to its original living/lounging glory.
Among other things we fitted new parquet flooring, replacement handmade internal oak doors, partial electrical rewire and new heating and plumbing system, and external landscaping.
Later, in 2020, we built a new barn to serve as the woodland machinery and tool store.

As part of a larger project within the country house estate, we converted an old outbuilding into a unique garden studio…. somewhere to think, reflect and create…. All out of sustainable plant fibre insulation.
